Testimonials
Below are some reference letters from parents in the St Francis of Assisi School Community who have kindly expressed their thought on the impact I've had on their children.
Hi Paul,
I just wanted to send you a quick email letting you know what great job we feel Fiona has done this year.
She started the year with such enthusiasm and displayed a clear love for teaching and this has certainly continued throughout the year. Her positive attitude is a great influence for my children.
I have been present in the classroom on a number of occasions and have always been impressed with the way she manages her class. It is also such a delight to hear of the encouragement she offers to my children with regards to their schoolwork.
She has also been a great support whilst Zac has been going through quite a physical and emotional journey with his acute medical condition. The positive things she says have helped to improve his confidence and helped him feel safe whilst at school. Each time I have had to inform her of Zac’s progress (and there have been many times!) she promptly returns phone calls, has worked with me to ease Zac’s anxiety and has a genuine concern for his wellbeing, which is not only obvious to see, but as a parent is so very comforting. We are so thankful to have had Fiona as a teacher for Joel and Zac this year.
Fiona has a clear passion for teaching from which her fortunate students can only benefit from. I feel that Fiona is an absolute asset to have as a part of your teaching faculty and thought that as Principal, you should be aware of what a wonderful job she has done this year.
Kind regards,
Marisa Crescitelli
Dear Mr Forde,
We have been members of the St Francis of Assisi School Community for 9 years and we have wonderful teachers at our school. In particular we would like to mention that Miss Granozio is another wonderful teacher at our school. Her enthusiasm, her friendliness, beautiful nature, professionalism, the manner she deals with all her children in her class is wonderful. She is very approachable and she should be commended and rewarded for all these qualities.
We hope that Fiona can continue to be a part of our wonderful school community so other children can benefit from her being there as a teacher in the way that my daughter Aleesha has.
God Bless You and thank you for your time.
Regards
Stephan & Maria Poole
To Paul Ford,
I am writing this email to express my disappointment on learning that you are not renewing Fiona Granozio’s and Lauren Pipicella’s teaching contract at St. Francis of Assisi at Newton.
Upon reading the school newsletter I quickly realised that 2 of your great teachers were not recontracted for 2014.
It’s so sad to see these young, fresh faced, keen teachers with a fantastic attitude not being given the chance to showcase their teaching capabilities’.
I think sometimes a change is needed to renew the schools “good vibes” and give a “fresh new approach” to teaching our kids of today. Having had both teachers teach our son Theo over the last 2 years, has been an absolute pleasure. The kids and parents alike have been blessed by having been taught by these great teachers.
They are always approachable, happy and very open hearted, wonderful teachers that the kids have grown to love and have also become good “friends”.Not many schools can boast that their teachers are also friends with the students/ parents and always greet you in the school yard with a friendly smile and time for a chat!!
Mr Ford would you please reconsider these 2 beautiful teachers with hearts of gold, to be included in our school community, maybe the time for change is now!!
Kind regards
And deeply disappointed

Hello Paul,
This is Michelle Pitasi. My kids are Anthony and Michael Pitasi. I'm writing to first say how much I love the school and our community. I'm also writing with such disappointment at the news that Fiona Gronozio will no longer be at our school next year.
This year, after Anthony had her last year for year 3, I nominated Fiona for teacher of the year. This is a teacher who is passionate about the school, passionate about teaching and most importantly so obviously passionate about her students. I had to write this e mail as I think it is such a sad thing that we will be giving away one of the best teachers I have come across to another school.
All the teachers at St Francis are wonderful but Fiona is that teacher with something special. Our school is so lucky to have her. I know all the parents from last year feel the same. Some have spoken about signing a petition but I thought it was best to just write this email. I don't often contact the school about anything but this I really felt I had to do. Thanks Paul for taking the time in your busy day to read my email.
Have a great day
Michelle Pitasi
